(Optional -If not new outlook needs to have settings configured) To copy the "settings" for connecting Outlook to web-mail-server:
start - run - regedit - search for:
2013 and later:
Where %version% is 15.0 for Outlook 2013, 16.0 for Outlook 2016.
After you import it on to the new PC, you will have the enter the passwords for those e-mail accounts.
To import all emails/contacts/rules etc to new email find
Can be found via Outlook >> Account Settings
It is usually in %userprofile%\Documents\Outlook Files OR %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\
Once you have .reg file and .pst file you are ready for new windows.
Before you open Outlook import .reg file.
Then you may get an error if you change usernames:
You can either re-create the path and place .pst where it belongs or put PST inside new %userprofile%\Documents\Outlook Files\[.pst]
If you choose to point user to the PST instead of putting it where it thinks it belongs go to Account Settings >> Data Files & point to original PST
Either way! You will have to "repair" account via Account Settings >> E-mail >> Repair
That should do it! But in the past, I had issues and solved it by creating a user called "test" and pointing it to the PST then pointing original user to the pst.
