They are hard @ work figuring out how to get TWRP to access the Encrypted SD card during Backup/Restore process, it works even on some devices!, but not yet on KLTE w/ latest version 3.0.0-7.
To access files via Recovery put them inside:
/data/media/0/
You can also reboot into TWRP with USB and put files onto Internal SD and they will show under that directory in the File Manager
